The 34-year-old centre-back made 86 appearances for the Super Falcons and won the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title four times during her international career.
Ohale also represented Nigeria at four FIFA Women’s World Cup tournaments, becoming one of the experienced players in the national team.
Announcing her decision on social media, Ohale described it as a difficult one after spending 16 years wearing the Nigerian jersey.
“After 16 years of wearing the Nigerian jersey, representing my country, and giving everything I had to the beautiful game, I have made the very difficult decision to retire from international football,” she wrote.
The defender will now focus on her club career following her decision to step away from the Super Falcons.
